The yellow flowers in MASTER I MARGARITA make the point:  the Master
makes Margarita throw them away; he doesn't like yellow flowers.
Those yellow flowers indicate Margarita's separation from her husband.
   The point is that flower color symbolism is a complex and very
regional thing.  Any fourteen people in Moscow will probably come up
with seven interpretations, and each and every one of them will be
certain that they and only they are correct.
