Sorry to continue this thread ad nauseum, but as far as I'm aware, sending an odd number of flowers is the custom even in the States. At least I _seem_ to remember hearing this. I do know there's a custom with the Spanish liqueur, Sambocca, of floating roasted coffee beans on its surface, and the number must always be odd.
