Asst.  Prof.  of Russian Literature.  Entry-level position to begin
Sept.  1996, to teach various periods and major genres in 19th-century
and 18th-century Russian literature at the undergraduate and graduate
levels.  Teaching load--4 courses per year and tutori al work.  Ph.D.
(or foreign equivalent) and native or near-native Russian and English
are requir ed.  Teaching experience is highly desirable.  Five-year
ladder appointment, possibly extendib le for an additional 3-year term
as associate professor (non-tenured).  Send letter of app lication,
