The  Central  European University  (CEU)  promotes  post-graduate
study  and  research, educational development  and  policy-making
throughout Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and the former Soviet
Union (FSU).

The CEU offers up to 500 fellowships to qualified candidates from
the  countries of these regions covering the 11,000 USD  tuition,
housing, travel costs and a monthly stipend.

A limited number of full or partial scholarships are also  avail-
able to students from countries outside the CEE/FSU.

Deadline  for applications is February 1, 1997. For  details  and
