Dear colleagues:
   An organizational  meeting of "The Slavic and East European Folklore
Association," or  SEEFA, was  held  on  Friday  October  27th, 1995  during
the  AAASS convention  in  Washington,  D.  C.  SEEFA is pursuing
affiliation with AAASS and will be sponsoring panels at this year's AAASS
conference in Boston. SEEFA is dedicated to the study of all aspects of the
folklore of the peoples of Eastern Europe and Russia and is currently
accepting members. If you wish to become a member of SEEFA and receive our
newletter , please fill out the form below, enclose a check or  money order
made out to SEEFA (dues are $15 per year and $10 per  year for  students),
and mail to  the Secretary-Treasurer at the following address:
