language query

Thank you so far for your comments on my query. Please keep them coming.
Keep in mind that I am not a linguist. I do believe there can be a "right"
and "wrong" way of saying something, at least as far as teaching goes, i.e.
I would teach people to say he isn't, rather than"he ain't," etc. Also,
I hope the replies will be calm. I do not mean to denigrate any
