basic textbook

Dear Seelangers,

I am interested to know whether there exists an introductory Russian
textbook with an emphasis on
language drawn from the field of the Social Sciences (politics,
criminology, legal, etc.) - something similar to introductory textbooks
with an emphasis on business language. I have seen a couple of such
textbooks for intermediate level (like Political Russian by Simes and
Robin) but nothing for beginners. Or, in alternative, a reader.
I would appreciate any piece of information
