Subject: Web Workshop laeders wanted

Hi, FLTEACHers!

The GW Elliott School of International Affairs is getting ready to sponsor
an FL teachers' workshop in creating reading exercises based on authentic
material taken from Web pages. We are looking for a potential workshop
leader (or leaders) who not only have a good grip on FL reading theory and
practice, but who can also illustrate webpage design in languages not
using Roman or Cyrillic script, specifically Chinese, Japanese, Korean,
and Hebrew. For samples of the kind of exercises we have in mind, see

http://www.gwu.edu/~slavic/golosa.htm or http://nts.lll.hawaii.edu/irene

This introductory workshop would run around 5-6 hours. Fees are
negotiable, although I would add that we would give preference to people
nearer to Washington because of transportation costs.

If you are interested, please respond to me at rrobin at gwis2.circ.gwu.edu
off list.

- Thank you.
