Computer pedagogy

Hi:

I have a PhD in Russian literature but have worked the last 2 years in the
computer-systems integration field. I'm interested in following
developments in computer-oriented language instruction at colleges and
universities. I have four questions for anyone who keeps tabs on
computer-oriented pedagogy:

1. What are the most useful programming, computer networking, and
data-communication skills, if any, required for language-lab or computer-lab
managers at academic institutions?

2. Where can one find a good list of employment announcements for computer
and pedagogy specialists on the web?

3. What is the average salary range for lab managers?

4. What are the chances of teaching a foreign literature, language, or
history if one is hired mainly to manage the language lab or computer lab?

Thanks for the help,
Frank Poulin
