Visiting position

The Department of Russian Language & Literature at Dartmouth College seeks applications for a one-year visitor with a strong possibility of renewal.  Applicants should hold a Ph.D. or be advanced graduate students near completion (ABD) and have near-native or native command of Russian, along with experience in Russia.

The visitor will be expected to oversee approximately 15 Dartmouth undergraduates at St. Petersburg University for the fall term (mid-September-early December) and will be housed in the university dormitory.    The visitor will teach two additional courses, one during the winter, one in the spring.  At least one of these will be a Russian-language class; the other a course on Russian culture or literature, depending upon the visitor's area of expertise.

Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
