A scene from Slovenian literature

Dear colleagues,
I have been trying to pinpoint a scene from Slovenian literature where a

German character tells to Slovenian that Slovenian sounds like barking
and Slovenian responds that German is like the sound of an oxcart
rumbling down a rocky road. I think that this scene might be from the
works of Ivan Cankar, but I am not positive about that.
