I am sorry to announce that on 9 January 2000 in Skopje, Macedonia, Olivera
Jashar-Nasteva, long-time professor in the Department of Macedonian and
South Slavic Languages at the University "Kiril i Metodij" in Skopje and
member of the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts passed away.

A memorial service is planned for 11 January at the Academy.  Condolences
may be sent to dejan at manu.edu.mk
