Help on Bulgarian Translation

Hello,
It has been a few years since I have studied Bulgarian, and I am having a bit of
trouble with part of a translation.  I need to translate the following sentence
into Bulgarian for some legal documents:

"This section states that the animal was hunted legally."

Here is what I have so far:

"Otdel''t zajavjava to, che zhivotnoto __________________  s''obrazno zakona."

I'm not sure how to expres the past passive participle for "lovja."  Could any
Bulgarian scholars be of some assistance?  Please forgive me if this sort of
question is not welcome in this arena, but I am desperate for help!  Thank you.
