2 lines from a Russian poem

Dear Edward:

The two lines you quoted come from a poem by Korzhavin entitled "Po kom
zvonit kolokol" (1958). The poem is dedicated to Ernest Hemingway.

The precise text is as follows:

"Est' Zlo i Dobro. I ikh boi -- neskonchaem.
My mesto svoe na zemle zanimaem."

Credit goes to my wife Anna, who has been a life-long admirer of
Korzhavin's poetry.
