Smirnov

Does anybody have any informations that could lead to identify the
actual sources of a book, published 1928 in Soviet Russia by Nicolay
Smirnov under the title "Strana solntsa". It is apparently based on
unpublished notes written 1823 in Paris, in French, by a Leonid
Polozyev, a young companion and devoted friend of Marycy count Beniowski
and describe from his point of view the Kamchatka rebellion, the escape
and the journey to Madagascar. Is it fiction or only rewritting? What
about the wherebouts of Polozyev's manuscript? Any hint will by
welcomed.
