Texts on "loss of innocence"

Sounds like it will be a great course!  I would suggest you look at Isaac
Babel's childhood or "autobiographical" stories, such as "The Story of My
Dovecot," "In the Basement," "Awakening," and "You Must Know Everything."
They all exists in translation, though not always very good translation...
