Dear Seelangers,

Can anyone tell me the source of the expression, "Chrepie, v nikhzhe
rodiatsia bisery?"  "Chrepie" is a collective noun, meaning "rakoviny."  The
Imperatorskii_akademicheskii_slovar' gives a figurative meaning for the
expression: "kamen' very."  (Dal' 3rd edition simply gives "zhemchuga.")
