IREX has recently posted to its web site a draft of the "Guide to 100 Higher
Educational Institutions in Russia." It is available at
http://www.irex.org/publications-resources/scholar/chang/.

This publication was compiled and edited in February 2001 by Sidney H. Chang
at the Department of History and translated by Victoria A. Malkoof at the
Department of Linguistics at California State University, Fresno. The Guide
provides:

* contact information (address, phone, fax, email, web site);
* entrance requirements;
* tuition rates;
* student enrollment figures;
* degrees offered; and
* descriptions of campus facilities.

It is a useful tool for anyone working with or studying at Russian
institutions of higher education and IREX is pleased to work with our
colleagues at California State University, Fresno to make it available to
the wider academic and policy communities.
