Lincoln's Between Heaven and Hell

Dear SEELANGers:

Has anyone used W. Bruce Lincoln's Between Heaven and Hell as a textbook? I
am considering using it in an introductory-level Russian culture and
civilization course and was wondering what experiences colleagues have had
using it in the classroom. Or, if you haven't used it for one of your
courses but are familiar with the book, would you recommend using it as a
text?
