Source of Quotation

Hello. I'm trying to help a professor of geology locate the source of a
quotation that he remembers from his studies in Russia:
"Priroda ne liubit izobilovat' prichinami veshchei."
He doesn't think that it is of Russian origin, but the Russian version is
all he knows.
