Dear All,
If any of you have any suggestions as to what I should add or omit from this provisional list of stories for an anthology I am editing, I shall be very grateful. It would be especially helpful if you could bear in mind that the anthology is of a fixed length -- 175,000 words. Any addition to the list will need to be balance by a corresponding omission. With a few exceptions -- Pushkin, Gogol, Platonov and Kharms -- I am not allowing anyone over 6000 words.
