Level of Difficulty of Russian

For what its worth, the US military rates languages by the ease / difficulty
in learning them from Catergory 1-4 (1 is the easiest, 4 the hardest to
learn).

Spanish is a Cat 1.  French and German Cat 2.  Russian is Cat. 3.  Chinese &
Japanese, Cat 4.

But Chinese can't be too hard, after all Chinese babies learn it... (poor
language instruction joke!).
