And are the people in the countries, formerly republics of the Soviet Union,
all Slavs? No. Maybe that is why not many universities offer the study of the
other languages of the former Soviet Union. Because too many teachers of
Russian counsider themselves only teachers of Slavic languages. What about
Georgian, Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian, etc.? Kristina in AZ
