Russian Folk Ensemble

The Russian Folk Ensemble, "Zolotoi plios," will be in New England
June 27 - July 7 and is available for additional bookings before and
after those dates.

"Zolotoi plios" is a trio, consisting of Aleksandr Solovov, Elena
Sadina and Sergei Grachev, from Saratov.

The ensemble performed at the  Middlebury and Norwich Russian Schools
in the summer of 2000 with great success (and will be headed back to
Middlebury for a week-long workshop on Russian folk music in late
June and early July).  The group also performed with great success in
a tour in February 2001 at Northwestern University, Beloit College,
UW-Milwaukee, UW-Madison, UW-Oshkosh and Macalaster College.
