Many thanks to all who answered my question: in fact I've had a reply
directly from the composer's elder son, who has consulted his mother, pani
Olga Simunkova-Rychlikova, and they have concluded "that the music [for
the movie Hudba z Marsu] was composed in 1954, and [that] the film itself
appeared in 1955", the date of the copyright on the commercial
videocassette.
