Gay speech

Dear SEELANGers,
Professors Ron Smith and Henry Rogers of the University of Toronto are
conducting research on gay speech. I am forwarding their question to the
list.

What features do speakers of Russian perceive as 'gay sounding'? Is it
intonation, or something about vowel quality, or something else? Any
suggestions? They are especially interested in phonetic characteristics.
