Subject: Russian literature question

Does anyone know of new Russian literature/popular fiction that uses
Chechnya as theme? Marta Deyrup
---

We profiled a writer Arkady Babchenko back in May of this year. I quote:
"In 2001, his book of short stories, 'Ten Stories about the War,' won
the Debut Prize 'For Courage in Literature.'His novella, 'Alkhan Yuri',
was published in the February 2002 issue of Russia's most prestigious
literary journal, 'Novy Mir.'" His writing is compared to Tolstoy's
Sevastopol Stories and is based on his experiences as a soldier in the
region.

Hope this helps.
