It's a wonderful idea to have a panel on folk and popular culture.
Many will find it interesting.
Perhaps you could specify the focus of the panel you're organizing?
What is the period you're looking at? What are the approaches you intend to
use? From what disciplines do the speakers come from? Finally, what is the
range of material you're interested in discussing?
