I believe that they have no separate Russian nickname equivalent for
the term (in fact if I'm not mistaken the English-language term was
used by the Germans themselves). I've only seen it in Russian texts
either written with our alphabet, or else directly transcribed
Чекпойнт-Чарли. The generic Russian term for such a checkpoint is
Контрольно-пропускной пункт (КПП).
