My dictionary edited in Bratislava 1985 gives me that  name IDA  is german name ,its  origine is from   Old-north word -id-
(means "act")or from Old-german - itis- (means "a woman").It has nothing to do with the name Antonia - which comes from Latin language ,meaning "stojaschij vperedi,prevoschodnyj".
