Dear Michael Katz,
The last I heard, Vassily Aksyonov, the writer and the son of Pavel
Aksyonov, held the chair of Clarence J. Robinson Professor of Russian
Literature and Writing and George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. He may be
retired at this point.  But why not contact him via GMU?  I'm certain many
people on the list would like to hear the results of your inquiry.  Keep us
posted.
