On November 25, 2005 a new "International Samizdat [Research] Association"
(ISRA) was founded by scholars and professionals from several archives,
libraries, museums and research centers. The event took place in the Open
Society Archives at Central European University, Budapest.

The ISRA web site already has an online directory of institutions which
are
actively involved in the preservation of documents or the study of issues
related to samizdat.

ISRA is an open forum for scholars and professionals. Its ultimate goal is
to become a network of specialists, a place for sharing information and a
base for collaborative initiatives.

We invite you to learn more about ISRA and add your name or institution to
our list at www.osa.ceu.hu/samizdat/
