question on words in Russian anthem

I am writing this for someone who is not a member of 
SEELANGS, in fact does not teach in the Slavic area.  He is 
a high school history teacher who wants to teach his 
students the words to the pre-Revolutionary Russian anthem.  
In checking the internet, he has found versions that differ 
in the preposition governing the accusative form 
for "glory/slavu"  At times he sees "vo" and in other 
instances "na" as the governing preposition.  He would like 
to know which is the correct or more appropriate phrasing.
