Examples of Russian comedy

Let me add my own nomination to the comedy/humor list:

Lt.Kije by Yuri Tynyanov, available in English translation by Mirra
Ginsberg, and in the 1933 film version by Alexander Faintsimmer with music
by Prokofiev.  Very dry Russian humor.
