Assistant Professor of Slavic Languages and Literatures


A tenure-track position to begin fall 2006.  Preference will be given to 
candidates with an expertise in Russian and a second Slavic language and 
literature.  Candidates must have a native or near-native command of the 
language(s) relevant to his or her expertise, an excellent teaching record 
at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and a proven record of 
scholarship and research.  An interdisciplinary interest in film theory, 
critical theory or cultural studies is desirable.  PhD should be completed 
at the time of appointment.  Please send a CV, a writing sample, and a
