Russian tricolor

22 August was, as I am sure you all know, Russian Flag Day (День Государственного флага России), and www.smi.ru marked the occasion with a long article with links to various sources:

On the question of the colour of the middle stripe, both голубой and синий have been used in this correspondence; the article referred to uses the latter throughout, except when quoting from the law passed by the Congress of People's Deputies of the RF on 21 April 1992, where лазоревый (and алый) are preferred.
