Anne Appleabum's *Gulag: A History* was recently translated into  
Ukrainian
by Andrij Ishchenko and published by the Press of the Kyiv-Mohyla  
Academy
(2006).

Ms Applebaum came to Kyiv for the book launch and gave an interview to
