Vysotskii & old ballads (cont.) & "Ochi chernye"

Fellow Slavists might be interested in the fact that the author of
"Ochi chernye"  was the Ukrainian  Romantic author
Jevhen Pavlovych Hrebinka,  who -- like many members of his  
generation --
wrote both in Russian and Ukrainian
