Concerning Devin's suggestion, I can report that the ATA (American
Translators Assocation) is indeed holding its annual conference in New
Orleans Nov. 1-4: see

There is other information on the site that might be of interest to
SEELANGS subscribers, such as the existence of the Slavic Languages
