new visa rules

Thank you, everyone,  for the good dialogue about the visa rules.  It 
is a fact that your passport must be valid for 21 months after the 
end of your stay if you are getting an invitation. This is confirmed 
by the institution through which I am getting an invitation for a 
visit this summer.

If you are working directly through a consular office, the six-month 
term is sufficient--though (as always) it's worth keeping up with the 
latest developments.
