Films by an art-house director from Saint-Petersburg Sergei:
"Nebyval'shchina" (1983, Lenfil'm; 1996, Studiia 48 Chasov) "Neskladukha"
(this one, however, will be difficult to find).
Uirii Mamin's film "Den' Neptuna" also has folklore underpinnings.
