Наследственной может быть болезнь, но не
язык, а тем более не носитель
оного; носитель мог бы быть "потомственны
м", если бы язык передавался как
статус.
По-моему, проблема трудноподбираемости т
ермина в том, что heritage speaker -
это эллипсис, который нуждается в таком ж
е эллиптичном русском выражении.

русские американцы
дети русских эмигрантов
но получилось что-то вроде
студенты (дети) с русским языковым наслед
ием
