19th Century Russian Translation Help

Dear Seelangs,

I am working on a project to translate a 19th-century Russian text.  I have
scanned in the text but need to find a way to get it into Microsoft Word as
editable text.  Has anyone had experience using OCR technology that can
handle pre-Revolutionary orthography?  I understand that this is possible
but am not sure what software is required.

Alternatively, does anyone know a transcription service in Russia that could
retype this text manually and in a cost-effective manner?  Is that a better
way to go?
