Dear Sandra,
 What about Lev Sheinin's "Zapiski sledovatelia"? He was describing the 
criminal world in great details. Anton Makarenko has also interesting 
remarks on this issue in his  "Pedagogicheskaia poema", however, this 
is more about delinquents (besprizorniki).
