Crimes of Passion in Russian Literature

Dostoevsky's Notes from the Dead House: Goryanchikov the narrator is apparently sentenced for murdering his wife; "Akul'ka's Husband. The Story" in the middle of the novel forms a parallel to his murder. And there are a couple more murders thrown in throughout the book.
