Dear Prof Andrews/Claire,
The Belarussian director Viktor Dashuk made an excellent documentary about 
Russian/Belarussian women fighting in the 2nd World War - "U voiny ne 
zhenskoe litso" (1980-84) Belarus'fil'm.  Part of it was shown at the 
Edinburgh Film Festival a few years ago. - see
