The School of Russian and Asian Studies is still accepting applications for
summer programs in Russia beginning July 2nd or later. These include the
following:

Russian Studies Summer is designed to provide an educational foundation for
students hoping to build a professional career with ties to Russia and the
FSU. Applications are still being accepted for Session Two of the program
(Session I is not a prerequisite). Session II provides an in-depth look at
domestic politics, international relations, the economy, and social issues
in Russia as well as courses for Russian language. Applications should be
received by April 30th.

Intensive Russian Summer is for students ready to get serious about their
Russian. With 125 contact hours packed into just five weeks, this is one of
the most intensive programs available anywhere. The program is designed to
help the student prepare for taking the TORFL (Level 1 or 2). Applications
should be received by April 30th.

Flexible RSL Study allows students to name their own dates for study abroad.
Arranging these programs is very simple. Just decide what date you want to
enter your program and what date you want to leave. Then, sign up for a base
month and enough extra weeks to cover the time in between. Your main concern
will be getting your application in at least three months in advance of your
intended arrival date. Signing up later than that is possible, but may incur
extra costs to rush process the visa.

SRAS Work Study Abroad allows students to earn $300 a month while studying
under our RSL packages (see above). Duties are divided between two sets of
management responsibilities. First, the student will assist in coordinating
publications produced from the SRAS offices and those from the offices of
Alinga Consulting Group, a company affiliated with SRAS. This will include
researching and writing original articles and editing and coordinating
contributors' articles. The two companies share the same office space in
Moscow. Second, the student will assist in managing the in-office English
language program offered for the employees of Alinga Consulting Group. This
will provide more interaction with Russian speakers and experience managing
the efforts of multiple teachers.

If you or your students have any questions regarding these offerings, feel
free to ask.
