If you wish to understand Sechenov's legacy in Stalin's Russia you
might be interested in consulting one important book on the
development of psychological studies in Soviet times. See: David
Joravsky. Russian Psychology: A Critical History, New York: Basic
Blackwell, 1989. It contains several references to Sechenov and
provides lots of useful insights into cultural and political debates
of the 1920-50s.
