"SMSKI" a provincialism?  Gosh.  It's pretty much standard here in Moscow, 
even, as noted, among distinguished linguistics professors.  I was puzzled 
at first that these messages aren't called SMSes in English, but rather 
text messages.  BTW, trubka was originally St. Petersburg slang for a cell 
phone, and at first not understood down here in the southern capital.
