Query re Russian artist - Pavel Adamovich VELONSKY (1849-1931)

An acquaintance asked me about "a Russian artist - Pavel 
Adamovich  VELONSKY (1849-1931)",
whose work was offered at Sotheby's in London.
I googled the name as you see it in Cyrillic, Russian only, and got nothing.
Has anyone heard of this chap, and how I can find out more about him?
